Empowering Tomorrow’s Potential, Today.

Unlocking the whole child’s potential through every phase of

their educational journey.

Through well-equipped ECD centres, strengthened school management teams, teacher development, child-focused interventions, and tangible opportunities.

Making their wildest dreams a reality.

From Humble Foundations to
Future Leaders

Mkhulise is a Beier Group Foundation rooted in the late Hans Beier’s belief that every person has the potential to be exceptional and reach unprecedented heights. So too does Mkhulise, let us “raise them”.

Mkhulise (“Grow”) is a collaborative initiative that supports learners from early childhood through to young adulthood by strengthening each step in the education journey. Rooted in KwaDabeka and Pinetown the programme brings together ECD centres, primary and secondary schools, NGOs, business leaders, and government partners.

Our shared aim is to ensure that children are supported, confident, and equipped to succeed in the new world of work.

We began in 2023 by strengthening school leadership. In 2024, we expanded support to teaching and learning in pre-school, primary and secondary schools. In 2026 we intend to grow into building post-school pathways.

"For young people to dream beyond their immediate horizons and to view their horizons as attainable realities."

— Hans Beier, Former Chair, Beier Group

Growing Possibilities Together

At Mkhulise, we believe that every child deserves more than just a seat in a classroom - they deserve a conducive environment where they can learn, explore, expand.

Our work is grounded in one simple but powerful idea: when we grow the people who support learners, we grow the learners themselves.

We Grow Leaders

We empower School Management Teams and educators with tools, training, and mentorship to lead with confidence and purpose.

We facilitate school improvement strategies that are practical, collaborative, and sustainable.

We Cultivate Innovative Critical Thinkers

Through our learner focused initiatives like the the Chess Programme, Subject specific tutorial programme, Learner Leadership Development Programme.

Mkhulise has reached over 8,500 learners in just the last 2 - years, but together we can help make these schools become a place where potential isn’t limited by circumstance.
